Welcome to Flora Quest (“we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website www.floraquest.com.au and any purchases made through it. By accessing this site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before purchasing.
1. General Information
Flora Quest is an Australian-based online nursery specialising in carnivorous plants and related products. All prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Shipping & Delivery
We ship within Australia only. Due to Australian biosecurity and quarantine regulations, we cannot ship live plants to Western Australia, Tasmania, or the Northern Territory. Orders placed from these locations will be cancelled and refunded less any payment processing fees.
Shipping Details
Orders are dispatched using trusted Australian carriers (primarily Australia Post).
Plants are shipped bare-rooted, unless stated otherwise on the product listing.
Plants are carefully packaged to minimise movement, dehydration, and damage during transit.
Orders are packed and dispatched on Monday mornings to reduce time in transit.
We reserve the right to delay dispatch during periods of extreme heat or adverse weather to protect plant health.
Once an order has been dispatched, Flora Quest is not responsible for postal delays, carrier handling, or environmental exposure during transit.
We strongly recommend using a delivery address where someone can receive the parcel promptly, as plants left in heat or direct sunlight may suffer damage.
3. Live Plant Disclaimer
All plants sold by Flora Quest are living organisms and will vary naturally in size, shape, colour, and growth habit. Images on our website are representative only and do not guarantee identical appearance.
Some cosmetic pitcher or leaf loss during transit is normal and does not indicate plant health.
High humidity and stable growing conditions are strongly recommended on arrival to support recovery after shipping. Failure to provide suitable conditions may result in plant decline.
Flora Quest is not liable for plant loss or damage resulting from:
Postal delays or rough handling
Acclimation stress or transplant shock
Incorrect or unsuitable growing conditions after delivery
Pest infestations, disease, or improper care practices

4. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations
Under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), you are entitled to a refund or replacement if a product is faulty, significantly damaged on arrival, or not as described.
Live Plants
Claims for dead on arrival (DOA) or severe transit damage must be made within 24 hours of delivery.
Clear photos of the plant and original packaging must be provided for assessment.
Refunds or replacements are issued at our discretion following assessment.
Change-of-mind returns are not accepted once an order has been dispatched.
Orders may be cancelled prior to dispatch by contacting us directly. Once shipped, cancellations are not possible.
5. Payment & Security
Payments are processed securely through third-party providers such as Stripe or PayID. Flora Quest does not store or have access to your credit card details.
Orders are confirmed only once payment has been successfully received.
6. Product Availability
All products are subject to availability. In rare circumstances where a plant becomes unavailable after purchase (for example, due to damage prior to dispatch), we will contact you to arrange a refund or suitable replacement.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including images, text, branding, and logos — is the property of Flora Quest and is protected under Australian copyright law. Content may not be reproduced, copied, or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Flora Quest’s liability for any breach of these Terms or any implied warranty is limited to the replacement of goods, resupply of services, or refund of the purchase price.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including (but not limited to) plant loss, loss of income, or emotional distress arising from the purchase or use of our products.
9. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts or tribunals of Victoria.
