Heliamphora Collina
Robust pitchers with clean form and rich colour potential.
Released in limited numbers. Not always available.
Heliamphora collina is a vigorous and beautifully formed species from the Gran Sabana region of Venezuela, where it grows on open, misty highland slopes with constant humidity, cool nights, and nutrient-poor soils. These exposed conditions favour plants with strong structure, thick-walled pitchers, and a resilient growth habit.
Originally grouped within H. heterodoxa, collina was later recognised as a distinct species due to its characteristic pitcher shape, confident growth, and well-defined nectar spoon. In cultivation, pitchers grow upright and solid, typically starting fresh green before developing warm bronze and red tones under good light. This specific clone is capable of colouring up exceptionally well, with pitchers turning deep red when exposed to strong, clean light.
Heliamphora collina strikes an excellent balance between beauty and toughness — a species that looks impressive while remaining adaptable and reliable in highland conditions.
This offering is a division, meaning the plant is genetically identical to the parent. As a result, growth habit, form, and colour are more consistent, with less variation compared to seed-grown plants

Important
Each plant displays natural variation. Individual specimens may differ in colour, form, and pitcher height.
Temperature and humidity ranges are guidelines only. These plants can tolerate short periods outside the ideal range, provided conditions return to stable levels.
