Heliamphora Electrum
Elegant pitchers with clean lines and subtle, glowing colour.
Released in limited numbers. Not always available.
Heliamphora electrum is a recently described and exceptionally rare species native to the Sierra de Lema highlands in Venezuela, where it grows across a small number of tepui summits and exposed ridgelines. These areas are defined by cool temperatures, constant moisture, and persistent mist — conditions that shape plants with upright posture, refined structure, and a quiet, understated elegance.
Formally published in 2024, H. electrum is distinguished by its elegant pitcher shape, a distinct nectar spoon, and fine inner-pitcher hairs that set it apart from related species. In cultivation, pitchers rise cleanly with smooth lines, typically showing fresh green to yellow tones that can develop warm bronze and red edging under good light. Some clones are capable of colouring much deeper, taking on rich red to maroon hues as light intensity increases.
With its recent description and extremely limited availability, Heliamphora electrum represents a true highland rarity — appealing both for its subtle beauty and its significance as one of the newest species recognised within the genus.
This offering is a division, meaning the plant is genetically identical to the parent. As a result, growth habit, form, and colour are more consistent, with less variation compared to seed-grown plants

Important
Each plant displays natural variation. Individual specimens may differ in colour, form, and pitcher height.
Temperature and humidity ranges are guidelines only. These plants can tolerate short periods outside the ideal range, provided conditions return to stable levels.
