Heliamphora sarracenioides × minor ‘Burgundy Black’ is a distinctive hybrid prized for its upright form and deep, moody colour potential. Pitchers rise tall and tubular with a clean, classic Heliamphora silhouette, often starting fresh green at the base before transitioning into warm bronzes, burgundy reds, and darker upper tones.

What makes this hybrid especially appealing is its colour expression. While many pitchers remain green with subtle shading, some plants — more rarely — develop deep burgundy to near-black tones, particularly under strong light and stable conditions. Not every plant will produce these darker pitchers, making the colour expression especially rewarding when it appears.

This is one of Flora Quest’s personal favourites, appreciated for both its strong shape and the anticipation that comes with watching how each new pitcher colours up over time.

This offering is a division, meaning the plant is genetically identical to the parent. As a result, growth habit, form, and colour are more consistent, with less variation compared to seed-grown plants
