Heliamphora Tatei
Towering pitchers shaped by mist, wind, and highland light.
Released in limited numbers. Not always available.
Heliamphora tatei is an iconic species native to some of the highest and most exposed tepui summits in Venezuela, including Cerro Duida and the Serranía de Maigualida. In habitat, it grows in cool, mist-soaked conditions with constant humidity, bright diffused light, and nutrient-poor soils — conditions that shape its tall, elegant form.
In cultivation, tatei reflects this environment beautifully. Pitchers grow long and upright with smooth, refined lines, typically displaying fresh green tones that can take on subtle blushes of pink or red around the rim and nectar spoon under strong light. The overall look is clean, graceful, and architectural, with a natural sense of height and movement that immediately sets it apart.
This is a plant that feels calm and commanding rather than dramatic, slowly developing into a true centrepiece as conditions stabilise and the plant matures.
This offering is a division, meaning the plant is genetically identical to the parent. As a result, growth habit, form, and colour are more consistent, with less variation compared to seed-grown plants

Among the tallest Heliamphora species in cultivation.
Refined Pitcher Shape:
Long, smooth pitchers with clean lines and balanced proportions.

Important
Each plant displays natural variation. Individual specimens may differ in colour, form, and pitcher height.
Temperature and humidity ranges are guidelines only. These plants can tolerate short periods outside the ideal range, provided conditions return to stable levels.
